About Whitecliff Practice
The Whitecliff Group
Practice operates from surgeries in Blandford and Child
Okeford. The Practice covers an area of
about 180 square miles, extending about five and a half miles in all
directions from both the Blandford and Child
Okeford surgeries. In May 2008 there were 16199
patients registered at the Practice.
The practice has a local
Personal Medical Services contract with North Dorset Primary Care Trust
to provide general medical services for the area of Blandford Forum and
the surrounding villages. It is also closely involved with
Blandford Community Hospital, and acts as
Medical Officers to several local schools and
businesses. The Practice is a training practice and we are joined by
students from Bristol, Southampton and London Medical Schools as well as
Doctors at various stages of their postgraduate training.
A friendly and professional team of 20
doctors and nurses provide a wide range of general and specialised
medical services including minor and intermediate surgery, sports
medicine, child and women's health, travel medicine, and a wide range of
examinations such as insurance, occupational and HGV medicals. We are a
recognised centre for Civil Aviation Authority medicals and Yellow Fever
vaccination.

recognised high quality of medical care to the patients in our
practice area. In addition, we will work to ensure a secure future for
the medical services in Blandford. To these ends, we aim to build and
maintain an efficiently functioning Primary Health Care Team with high
morale."
